replication client

A replication client is an application, which connects one or more data sources as replication database to a replication server. Thus, an application is not a replication client as such, but may act at the same time as replication client, but also as replication server.

The replication client sends all changes made on the replication database to the replication server, which informs other replication clients about those changes. The replication client receives also all updates made by other replication clients from the server.
