Path element
Keywords: path element
A path element defines a single element within an access path. A path element is a path operand, which might be followed by an operand list. The operand list contains the parameters for the path operand and are interpreted by the operation defined by the path operand.
When the path operand is an instance or collection, the operand list is interpreted as selection condition (key or position) for positioning a certain instance in the preceding collection.
