Structural base
Keywords: from method
The structural (or intentional) base for a view is described in a FROM clause. In contrast to the extensional base, the structural base refers to structures rather than to extents, i.e. each view path for a structural base must begin with a valid structure (or view) name.
The structure name can be extended by an access path, which starts from the defined structure. When no structure name has been defined, the access path must start with a valid extent name.
View paths will be assigned by the given name to a view source. When no name has been defined for the view path, the path directly applies to the parent data collection.
