operation
An operation is based on a set of built-in operators and can be a unary or a binary operation. An operation differs from other methods syntactically. Operations are always expressed by means of operators, which appear in front of the first operand (unary operation) or between the two operands (binary operation). There are different categories of operations depending on the operands involved.
